The Song of Moses^(A)

15 Then ^(B)Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying:

“I will ^(C)sing to the Lord,
For He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider
He has thrown into the sea!
²The Lord is my strength and ^(D)song,
And He has become my salvation;
He is my God, and ^(E)I will praise Him;
My ^(F)father’s God, and I ^(G)will exalt Him.
³The Lord is a man of ^(H)war;
The Lord is His ^(I)name.
⁴^(J)Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea;
^(K)His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.
⁵The depths have covered them;
^(L)They sank to the bottom like a stone.

⁶“Your ^(M)right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power;
Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces.
⁷And in the greatness of Your ^(N)excellence
You have overthrown those who rose against You;
You sent forth ^(O)Your wrath;
It ^(P)consumed them ^(Q)like stubble.
⁸And ^(R)with the blast of Your nostrils
The waters were gathered together;
^(S)The floods stood upright like a heap;
The depths ^[a]congealed in the heart of the sea.
⁹^(T)The enemy said, ‘I will pursue,
I will overtake,
I will ^(U)divide the spoil;
My desire shall be satisfied on them.
I will draw my sword,
My hand shall destroy them.’
¹⁰You blew with Your wind,
The sea covered them;
They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

¹¹“Who^(V) is like You, O Lord, among the ^[b]gods?
Who is like You, ^(W)glorious in holiness,
Fearful in ^(X)praises, ^(Y)doing wonders?
¹²You stretched out Your right hand;
The earth swallowed them.
¹³You in Your mercy have ^(Z)led forth
The people whom You have redeemed;
You have guided them in Your strength
To ^(AA)Your holy habitation.

¹⁴“The ^(AB)people will hear and be afraid;
^(AC)Sorrow^[c] will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia.
¹⁵^(AD)Then ^(AE)the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed;
^(AF)The mighty men of Moab,
Trembling will take hold of them;
^(AG)All the inhabitants of Canaan will ^(AH)melt away.
¹⁶^(AI)Fear and dread will fall on them;
By the greatness of Your arm
They will be ^(AJ)as still as a stone,
Till Your people pass over, O Lord,
Till the people pass over
^(AK)Whom You have purchased.
¹⁷You will bring them in and ^(AL)plant them
In the ^(AM)mountain of Your inheritance,
In the place, O Lord, which You have made
For Your own dwelling,
The ^(AN)sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established.

¹⁸“The^(AO) Lord shall reign forever and ever.”

24 Now ^(B)on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, ^[a]and certain other women with them, came to the tomb ^(C)bringing the spices which they had prepared. ²^(D)But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. ³^(E)Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴And it happened, as they were ^[b]greatly perplexed about this, that ^(F)behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. ⁵Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? ⁶He is not here, but is risen! ^(G)Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, ⁷saying, ‘The Son of Man must be ^(H)delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ”

⁸And ^(I)they remembered His words. ⁹^(J)Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. ¹⁰It was Mary Magdalene, ^(K)Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. ¹¹^(L)And their words seemed to them like ^[c]idle tales, and they did not believe them. ¹²^(M)But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths ^[d]lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.

Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.
²Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;

He also has become my salvation.’ ”

³Therefore with joy you will draw ^(D)water
From the wells of salvation.

⁴And in that day you will say:

^(E)“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;

Make mention that His ^(G)name is exalted.

A Multitude from the Great Tribulation

⁹After these things I looked, and behold, ^(A)a great multitude which no one could number, ^(B)of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, ^(C)clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, ¹⁰and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ^(D)“Salvation belongs to our God ^(E)who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” ¹¹^(F)All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and ^(G)worshiped God, ¹²^(H)saying:

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”

¹³Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in ^(I)white robes, and where did they come from?”

¹⁴And I said to him, ^[a]“Sir, you know.”

So he said to me, ^(J)“These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and ^(K)washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will ^(L)dwell among them. ¹⁶^(M)They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; ^(N)the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; ¹⁷for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne ^(O)will shepherd them and lead them to ^[b]living fountains of waters. ^(P)And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
